How to Set Up EasyCheck — Step by Step

Getting started with EasyCheck takes minutes, not days. It replaces slow, error-prone manual cheque writing with accurate cheque printing on your own bank cheques — you add your bank account, teach EasyCheck your cheque layout once, and print your first cheque onto your own cheque leaf. There's nothing to install and no special printer needed. This guide walks through the whole setup, step by step.

How do I set up EasyCheck?

To set up EasyCheck, create your account, add your bank account under Bank Setup, and configure your cheque template once — by scanning and aligning your cheque, or entering its measurements. Then enter the cheque details and print onto your own bank-issued cheque leaf. EasyCheck is online cheque printing software — cloud-based, with nothing to install and no special printer — so most UAE businesses print their first cheque the same day.

What you need before you start

  • Your EasyCheck account (sign up at app.easycheckpro.com).
  • Your bank cheque book — the physical, bank-issued cheques you'll print onto.
  • A standard laser printer — no special cheque printer required. Any office laser printer with an adjustable tray to hold your cheque leaves will do.
  • Your bank account details (account number and currency) for each account you print from.

That's it. You don't link EasyCheck to your bank — it prints the details onto your own cheque leaves, which are then signed manually and clear through your bank as normal.

Set up EasyCheck in 6 steps

  1. 1

Create your account and sign in

Sign up, verify your account by email and set your password, then log in to your EasyCheck dashboard. Nothing to install — it runs in your browser.

  2. 2

    Add your bank account

Go to Bank Setup → Add Bank Account and enter the account number, account name and currency (AED, or a GCC currency such as SAR, QAR, OMR, BHD or KWD). Repeat for each account you print from — or use Import Banks to add several accounts at once.

  3. 3

    Configure your cheque template

Open the account’s template and set it up one of three ways: scan and align (upload a scan of your cheque, enable the designer and drag each field into position), enter the exact measurements manually, or import a starting layout from the template library and fine-tune it to your actual cheque. Save once — EasyCheck reuses the layout for every future print.

  4. 4

    Add your beneficiaries (optional)

In Beneficiary Master, add the payees you cheque regularly. Saving them means you select from a list instead of retyping names — faster, with fewer errors.

  5. 5

    Print your first cheque

Go to Print Cheque, select the bank account, enter the payee, amount (the amount in words fills in automatically), date and cheque number, load your cheque leaf into a standard laser printer and print. Sign manually as usual.

  6. 6

Set up recurring PDCs and alerts (optional)

For recurring payments, use Bulk Cheques → Recurring to generate a full post-dated series with the dates sequenced automatically, then turn on PDC alerts in Preferences to get reminders before each cheque falls due.

Step 3 is the one that matters most — a template aligned to your actual cheque is what makes every print land in the right position. Once it's saved, you never set it up again for that account. See bulk cheque printing and post-dated cheque printing for the recurring-payment workflow in Step 6.

Setting up multiple banks

Most UAE businesses bank with more than one institution. EasyCheck supports unlimited bank templates on every plan — set up a template for each bank account once, then switch between them whenever you print, all from one login. Every cheque, across every bank, is recorded and status-tracked in one place. See printing cheques for multiple banks from one account.

Adding your team

Finance is rarely one person. In User Management, an admin can add team members with a role:

  • User — print cheques, manage beneficiaries and view reports.
  • Admin — full access, including user management and company settings.

Each new user verifies their account by email and sets their own password, and logs in with a one-time passcode (OTP) for security.

Tips to avoid misprints

  • Build your template from your actual cheque, not a generic sample — bank layouts vary by account type.
  • Do a test print on plain paper first, hold it against the cheque leaf to check alignment, then fine-tune the field positions.
  • If your printer has non-centred trays, use the cheque-sized PDF print option for exact dimensions.
  • Keep the amount prefix/suffix markings on for added security against tampering.

Alignment is a one-time setup per cheque type. After that, every print for that account is accurate automatically.

FAQ: Setting Up EasyCheck

Q1: How long does EasyCheck take to set up?

Most businesses are printing the same day. Adding a bank account and configuring its cheque template takes a few minutes per account, and our team can help you set it up during onboarding.

Q2: Do I need to install anything?

No. EasyCheck is cloud-based and runs in your browser. It prints on a standard laser printer — there is no software to install and no special hardware required.

Q3: How do I set up my cheque template?

Open your bank account in Bank Setup and either scan your cheque and position each field visually, or enter the field measurements manually. EasyCheck saves the layout and reuses it every time you print for that account.

Q4: Do I need a special printer?

No. A standard office laser printer works. You print the cheque details directly onto your own bank-issued cheque leaves.

Q5: Can I set up more than one bank account?

Yes. EasyCheck supports unlimited bank templates on every plan, so you can print for as many banks and accounts as you need from a single login.

Q6: Can I add my team?

Yes. In User Management, an admin can add team members with a role — User (print cheques, manage beneficiaries and view reports) or Admin (full access including user management and company settings). Each new user verifies by email and sets their own password.

Q7: What if my cheque does not align correctly?

Adjust the field positions in your template — visually or by measurement — and print a test on plain paper until it lines up with your cheque leaf. You only need to do this once per cheque type.
