How to Print DIB Cheques Using Cheque Writing Software — Step-by-Step Guide
Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) — founded in 1975 as the world's first full-service Islamic bank — is one of the UAE's most widely used banks for business banking, auto finance and property finance. This guide walks through exactly how to print DIB cheques accurately: template setup, single-cheque printing, bulk supplier runs and the post-dated cheque series behind finance and rent agreements. It works with DIB's different cheque book formats using one-time custom template setup.

Why UAE Businesses Move From Handwriting to Printed Cheques
A misspelled amount in words, an unclear payee name or a date in the wrong format may cause delays, corrections or cheque return issues — costing time, sometimes triggering bank charges, and damaging supplier trust.
The stakes rise when cheques come in series, not one at a time. Finance agreements and tenancies in the UAE are typically secured with post-dated cheques issued upfront in one sitting — 12, 24 or 48 monthly instalment cheques, or the quarterly rent cheques on a lease. One handwriting slip inside a 24-cheque series means a cancelled cheque, a reissue, and a mismatch in your records.
Cheque printing software solves all of this on the same DIB cheque book you already use. The cheque is still your physical, bank-issued cheque leaf — signed and stamped by your authorised signatory, processed through clearing exactly the same way. What changes is how the cheque details get printed onto it: accurately, consistently, and with a complete audit record.
What You Need Before You Start
To print DIB cheques with EasyCheck you need:
- A DIB cheque book — any current business or corporate cheque book.
- A standard laser printer — no special equipment. An A4 office printer is fine.
- One scanned image of a blank DIB cheque leaf — needed for the visual template setup. (Optional if you choose manual measurement instead.)
- An EasyCheck account — Starter, Business Plus or Premium plan. For bulk (batch) cheque printing or bulk PDC, you need Business Plus or higher.
One-time setup time: about 3 to 5 minutes per DIB account.
Step 1: Add Your DIB Account in EasyCheck
- Log in to EasyCheck.
- Go to Bank Setup → Add New Bank.
- Enter your DIB account profile:
- Bank name: Dubai Islamic Bank
- Account name: e.g. "Main Operating Account", "Supplier Payments", "Rent Payments"
- Account number
- Currency: AED
- Save.
You can add as many DIB accounts as you need — and any other UAE bank alongside them — unlimited on every plan.
Step 2: Configure Your Cheque Template
This is the only part that takes more than a minute, and you only do it once per DIB account. EasyCheck stores the layout permanently after that.
You have two options. Most customers use scan & configure because it is visual and easier to get exactly right.
Option A — Scan & Configure (visual setup)
- Scan one blank DIB cheque leaf at 300 DPI.
- In EasyCheck, open your DIB account profile → Configure Template → Scan & Configure.
- Upload the scanned cheque image.
- Drag each field onto the right position on the cheque:
- Date
- Payee (name)
- Amount in figures (AED)
- Amount in words
- A/C Payee / Non-Negotiable mark (if you use it)
- Save the template.
Option B — Manual Measurement (numeric setup)
If you already know your DIB cheque dimensions, this is the faster route.
- Measure each field's position on your DIB cheque book with a ruler — distance from the top edge and the left edge of the cheque.
- In EasyCheck, open your DIB account profile → Configure Template → Manual Measurement.
- Enter the X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) coordinates for each field in millimetres.
- Save the template.
Test print
Whichever option you used, print one test cheque on a plain A4 sheet, hold it against your DIB cheque leaf and confirm everything lines up. If a field is a millimetre off, adjust the coordinate and save again.
Tip: DIB cheque layouts can differ between account products and cheque book series. If you operate accounts across more than one format, set up a separate template for each — they cannot be shared.
Step 3: Print Your First Cheque
Once the template is saved you can print a cheque in under a minute.
- In EasyCheck go to Print Cheque → New Cheque.
- Select the DIB account the cheque is being drawn on.
- Choose or add the beneficiary:
- If they are already in Beneficiary Master, select them.
- If not, add their name and save them for next time.
- Enter the AED amount in figures. EasyCheck converts it to words automatically — no manual spelling.
- Enter or select the cheque date.
- (Optional) Tick A/C Payee or Non-Negotiable if your DIB cheque format includes those marks.
- Preview the cheque on screen — confirm the date, amount, payee and amount-in-words all look correct.
- Load your DIB cheque book into your laser printer in the correct orientation.
- Click Print.
The cheque prints with every field in the right place on your DIB cheque leaf. After printing, your authorised signatory signs and stamps the cheque manually — same as a handwritten cheque. EasyCheck does not print signatures or stamps.
Step 4: Bulk Printing for Supplier Runs
If you issue 30, 50 or 100 supplier cheques in a single batch on your DIB account, bulk printing turns the whole job into one print run.
Available on: Business Plus and Premium plans.
You have two methods to load the cheque data:
Method 1 — Excel upload
- Download the EasyCheck bulk template from the Bulk Cheque Printing screen.
- Fill in beneficiary name, AED amount and cheque date for each cheque.
- Upload the file.
- EasyCheck shows the full batch on screen — review every cheque before printing.
- Click Print Batch. All cheques print continuously on your DIB cheque book in one PDF print job.
Method 2 — Copy-paste from a spreadsheet
If your supplier list lives in another spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets, exported from Zoho Books), select the rows and paste them straight into EasyCheck's bulk cheque grid. No file upload needed.
Working from approved payment vouchers instead? EasyCheck can also scan a payment voucher — or a multi-page PDF of several and turn each one into a staged cheque automatically.
Important checks before bulk printing:
- Make sure the right DIB account is selected for the batch.
- Make sure your DIB cheque book is loaded the right way around — print one test cheque first.
- Make sure cheque numbers on the printed cheques match the cheque book sequence.
Step 5: Post-Dated Cheques (PDC)
PDCs are often where the biggest time savings are. Auto finance and property finance agreements in the UAE are typically secured with long post-dated series — 12 to 48 monthly cheques — and tenancies with 2 to 6 rent cheques a year. EasyCheck handles all of it from the same template you already set up.
Print a single PDC
Use the Print Cheque flow exactly as in Section 5, but enter a future cheque date.
Print a series of PDCs (Business Plus / Premium)
For a recurring schedule — for example 24 monthly finance instalments, or 4 quarterly rent cheques — use bulk PDC:
- Go to Bulk PDC.
- Enter the beneficiary, AED amount and start date.
- Choose the frequency: Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly or Yearly.
- Enter the number of cheques in the series (up to 120 in one batch).
- EasyCheck auto-sequences every cheque date.
- Review every cheque on screen, then print the full series.
For the full recurring workflow — including how the date sequencing and cheque numbering work — see recurring & instalment cheque printing. If the series backs a vehicle finance agreement, the auto finance cheque printing guide covers that use case in depth.
Track every PDC in the PDC Calendar
Once printed, every PDC appears in the PDC Calendar — a visual monthly view with every cheque colour-coded as Pending, Printed or Cleared. Filter to show only DIB cheques, or view all banks together.
Set your alerts. Each user can set their own alert preferences — 1 day, 3 days or 7 days before a PDC clears. Nobody on your team gets caught off-guard by a clearing date.
Common Cheque Printing Mistakes to Avoid
- Using a generic bank template. DIB layouts differ by account product and cheque book series. Configure your template from your actual DIB cheque book, not a generic example.
- Skipping the test print. Always print one test on plain A4 first and hold it against your cheque leaf. Fix any alignment before printing on the real cheque book.
- Mixing up cheque book sequence. Your cheque book has serial numbers. Track which cheque number you printed against which beneficiary — EasyCheck records this automatically.
- Forgetting the A/C Payee crossing. If your cheques are crossed "A/C Payee Only", make sure your template includes that field.
- Not setting alerts on PDCs. With a 24- or 48-cheque finance series in circulation, a clearing date can sneak up. Configure per-user notifications so your accounts team has lead time to ensure funds are in the account.
- Printing signatures. Don't try to. EasyCheck doesn't print signatures or stamps — those are applied manually by your authorised signatory after printing. This is the correct process and keeps your bank's signature mandate intact.

FAQ: DIB Cheque Printing
Q1: Is cheque printing software safe to use with DIB?
Yes. EasyCheck prints the cheque details onto your existing, bank-issued DIB cheque leaves — the physical cheques are the same ones Dubai Islamic Bank gave you. The cheque is signed and stamped manually by your authorised signatory after printing, and clears through the UAE's normal cheque clearing process exactly the same way as a handwritten cheque. EasyCheck does not connect to your DIB banking system and does not require DIB approval.
Q2: Does EasyCheck print signatures or stamps on DIB cheques?
No. EasyCheck prints only the cheque details — date, payee, amount in figures, amount in words and A/C Payee crossing. The cheque is signed and stamped manually by the authorised signatory after printing, just as on a handwritten cheque. This keeps your DIB signature mandate intact.
Q3: How long does it take to set up a DIB cheque template in EasyCheck?
About 3 to 5 minutes per DIB account. You do this once — the template is saved permanently and reused for every cheque you print on that DIB account after that.
Q4: Do I need a special cheque printer for DIB cheques?
No. EasyCheck works with a standard office laser printer. After your DIB cheque template is aligned, you can print directly on your existing DIB cheque leaves — no dedicated cheque printer, no special paper, no extra hardware.
Q5: Can I print bulk cheques for supplier payments on my DIB account?
Yes — on the Business Plus and Premium plans. Either upload an Excel file with your supplier list and amounts, or copy-paste rows from a spreadsheet directly into EasyCheck. The full batch prints on your DIB cheque book in one continuous print run.
Q6: How do I print post-dated cheques for rent or finance instalments in EasyCheck?
On Business Plus or Premium, use Bulk PDC — enter the AED amount, start date and frequency (Quarterly for typical UAE office rent, Monthly for finance instalments), and EasyCheck auto-sequences every cheque date. Review the full series on screen, then print on your DIB cheque book. This is commonly used for the PDC series issued against auto finance or property finance agreements.
Q7: Will DIB accept a printed cheque the same way as a handwritten one?
Yes. The physical cheque is your existing DIB cheque leaf — signed and stamped manually by you — and clears through the normal UAE clearing process exactly the same way. What changes is only how the date, payee, amount and amount-in-words are written onto the cheque — by laser print instead of by hand.
Q8: Can I print cheques for my other banks alongside DIB?
Yes. EasyCheck supports unlimited bank templates on every plan, so you can run DIB alongside Emirates NBD, ADCB, FAB, Mashreq or any other UAE bank from one login — each account with its own saved cheque template, and all cheques tracked in one place.
Q9: Can I see every upcoming DIB PDC at a glance?
Yes. The PDC Calendar shows every post-dated cheque you have issued in a monthly view, colour-coded Pending / Printed / Cleared. Filter to show only DIB PDCs, or view all banks together. Available on every EasyCheck plan.
Q10: How much does EasyCheck cost?
EasyCheck is a one-time 3-year licence — no monthly subscription, no per-cheque fees. The Starter plan is AED 750, Business Plus (with bulk cheque and bulk PDC printing) is AED 1,200, and Premium (with document attachment) is AED 3,000. After Year 3, optional annual renewal is AED 300–1,000/year depending on plan. See easycheckpro.com/pricing.
Q11: Is there a free trial of EasyCheck?
EasyCheck does not offer a free trial. Watch the product demo at easycheckpro.com/demo or book a live walkthrough via easycheckpro.com/schedule-demo to see exactly how the DIB template setup, bulk printing and PDC management would work for your business.
